One of the saddest songs you’ll ever get from Elliott, the song, while sometimes perceived as a love song is actually a song about battling addictions and it’s beautiful I think that’s something very underrated about Elliot Smith is his knack for sounding like both Dear Prudence and Helter Skelter by The Beatles. This is one of the best songs you will ever hear, the song opens with a great riff-type thing and continues to be this great rock-folk track. This is another excellent track, the guitar is a highlight and overall the song continues to show what Elliott Smith is about. The song, due to the double tracks of both the guitar and vocals and the very muted drumming, sounds exactly like being awake at 2:45 in the morning and just being tired.
